Issue with WhatsApp on Mac

Dear Friends,

I used to use the WhatsApp on the Mac desktop. Since a few days, it does not work any more on the desktop. I reinstalled it but it just got stuck at the WhatsApp Web window on the Mac. What could be the problem? It just keeps rolling, working at the background, but does not connect or go to the stage where I could scan with my phone to connect the two. I use a Samsung phone.

How can I resolve it. Please help me.

OS causes WhatsApp connection problem over some wi-fi connections. When I open WhatsApp over my work wi-fi WhatsApp does not want to connect. I have tried multiple solutions I found on the internet but none of them gave me a permanent solution. And I also found that the people with iPhones was the only people that had this problem. It would keep showing ''connecting...'' as show in the image below... I would be most grateful if someone could help me with a solution.
