swipe feature not working

A year ago I had the screen replaced on my iPad mini2. The screen was replaced however I noticed reduction in functionality and the screen was visibly darker. After sometime now it still turn off and on and the home button responds however the ability to swipe/tap to access settings and apps or to turn off is not working how do i correct this ?
