dual monitor support for Macbook

I cannot get a definitive answer on this. I am trying to determine if a Macbook (not a Macbook Pro) can support dual external monitors. I have a new 12" Macbook with just the single USB-C port. Can I use a particular USB-C adapter to run two external monitors?

I only have one USB-C port with the original adapter (USB-C/HDMI/USB) and bought another adapter (USB/VGA) in order to connect my second external monitor but it's not even reading the adapter, I'll try with a new adapter next week but I'm wonder if my Macbook even support dual external monitor. Dual Monitor Set-up MacBook 12inch 2017 Hello, So I have a 12-inch MacBook that I wish to connect to a monitor for dual display. However, the version I have only has one usb-c port, so I am not sure how that would work with connection to the monitor as well as keeping my own MacBook charged. I wanted to know if it is possible with my MacBook and also get some steps to guide me in the right direction before making a purchase. Just in case I was not clear enough in the beginning, I want to have the monitor be a continuation of my laptop display, I do not intend to use it as a clamshell mode.

Does MacBook Air with two usb c support multiple monitors working at the same time ? want to know if new MacBook Air with two USB C can support extra dual monitors and display different content on each one at the same time ?
