Calendar with El Capitan 'loses' information

Calendar (I do NOT use Cloud or any other syncing) literally loses recent data. I watched the events just vanish! This has happened multiple times. Very irritating.

Can I install an older version (previous was 6.0 and it was very stable, did not erase/lose whatever my entries)? Or is there some way to stabilize the current version (8.0)

I use this to track my mothers doc appointments etc, so reliability is critical.

any thoughts would be appreciated.

My MAC Calendar is very sluggish I have a M1MacBook Pro (2020) with 16GB. I thought it would be faster than my old MacBook Pro from 2011. But to the contrary. The Calendar drives me mad. I have updated to Monterrey 12.2.1. I have read the earlier discussion where the update of the OS seemed to have helped. But not for me. I have not tried the Test User approach to replicate the problem. As I'd rather know whether there is more information on the potential reasons of the problem. I have checked the different Mail accounts. There is no synchronizing except with my Apple account. Are there any new ideas?

iCal missing one of my calendars after import I use iCal on my iMac at the office. Every month I export a calendar archive and import to my iCal on my personal iMac at home. I've been doing this for years with no issue. Recently everything will import and update with the exception of only one of my calendars. I can see all calendars in the list in the side bar but one. Why would only one not show? Is there a way to fix this? Running High Sierra at the office and I recently updated to Mojave at home.

Calendar Search Broken on New Computer/Old Account Upon migrating from an older Mac to an M1, both running Monterey, my Calendar search no longer works. In other words, it works, but only finds items added since I've been using the new computer. It won't find any events which were added on the old computer or simply before the new computer was set up (even if they're literally on the same day). I found some other users on here sharing the same issue, so it's not just me, however, they didn't find any solution. All calendars are through iCloud. Tried all the basic troubleshooting with no change. Also updated to the latest 12.5.1 OS today.
