how do i turn off find my iphone when i dont have the phone anymore and it has been removed from the icloud account? The phone was sent back because it was broken and wouldn't turn back on. I removed the device from icloud on a different device, but I still got a message saying find my iPhone was still activated.

You need to tell the story again.
If you removed the iCloud account, Find My iPhone will be OFF.
If your iPhone is broken, you cannot remove anything.
