can't force quit

Hi there all,

I have a problem with some apps.

Now it's Safari, it was beachballing continuesly and i had to force quit it.

Now it won't start at all, even worse, i can't get it stopped, quited, force quited, nothing.

Activity monitor doesn't see it, ps -ax in the terminal doesn't see it.

I can't even shut down my mac, it says that it can't close the app and that i have to do it my self (GRRRRRRRR)

The only thing i can do now is press the power button until it off.

does anybody have some suggestions to fix this the next time?
