Keynote collaboration doesn't connect

Hi,

I am having some issues with Keynote on my Mac (running High Sierra 10.13.1). Whenever I try to share a Keynote file it stops at starting the collaboration. What is weird about it is that the person I share it with receives the invite, can see my file however in my case I don't see any made changes. The collaboration icon displays that it is not connected to icloud and I don't get to see any changes made to the document by the collaborators.

If I open it from www.icloud.com then it all works fine, it shows the file as being shared and I can work in realtime on it with changes being synced properly. I want to say that I only see this behavior happening on the local instance of Keynote and not on the other tools i.e. Pages works just fine.

Any ideas?
