Why does the AW3 take so long to copy music?

Why oh why oh why does it have to be on the charger?

I am trying this against my gear s3 and so far I am not impressed. Why in the world does it take so dang long to transfer mp3's? And why in the world must i be on a charger - that means i can NEVER add a song to my watch while on the go - you know like creating a new playlist to use later on my watch for a run.

Very disappointed. After the ease of putting/updating music on the gear s3, this seems like a huge leap backwards.
