Itunes will be playing a song and randomly the song will start skipping in reverse all the way to the beginning of the song. Once it has reached the beginning, it will start play the song again and it will reach only so far until it repeats this problem. I have tried restarting itunes and it has not helped. This problem also exist when I play movies off of itunes.

That sounds like something is mimicking the option-cmd-left arrow keypress. iTunes 11 for Mac: Keyboard shortcuts. Sticky keys?
