My phone is a 7 Plus.
Every time I click on an Internet link, a window pops up asking if I want to “Get” Chrome or use Safari.(I don’t want to use Chrome, I’ve tried it and uninstalled it.” At the bottom of the popup there is a toggle button that says if I say so it will not ask this question any more. But that button or switch does nothing. It keeps on asking every time.
Does anyone know how to correct this? Thanks.

Please open Gmail App and follow steps below:
1. In the top left corner click 3 horizontal lines (Menu)
2. Scroll down to Settings
3. Click Google Apps
4. Under "Open browser in" section select browser you want to use.
5. Turn off "Ask me which app to use every time" and that's it.
That sounded like a good idea, but when I opened Gmail settings Safari was selected, and the switch “ask me every time” was already off. So that didn’t solve it.
