Since updating to OS 13.1 and beyond, whenever I try to print a .pdf file I get the following
ERROR: MemoryFull
OFFENDING COMMAND:xshow
Others have reported this problem and that they have had no satisfaction from HP. Printing regular .rtf, .doc., and pages files present no problem (so far). Has anyone solved this?
The version HP printer is supported by High Sierra: Printer and scanner software for macOS High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, and Mavericks - Apple Support.
Have you tried resetting the printing system: macOS Sierra: Reset the printing system?
Thank you. I haven't spoken with them myself. A number of others with the same problem have and report the response they got–the standard instruction to reset, etc.–was not useful. Perhaps I should take your suggestion and check for myself.
It may come down to the who you ask and the question itself. Ask for the technical department and specifically ask if HP drivers have beed updated towers with 10.13.3 High Sierra. Let us know what happens.

Sorry about the typos (useless 'the', beed, towers (instead of to meet)). I corrected them but it doesn't seem to have registered. I'm going to have to get rid of this wretched Apple system that monitors ones writing so badly. Let us know how you get on.
To be honest, I haven't been able to figure out how to do that. My printer doesn't have a display where I would expect to be able to find that information, and I haven't been able to find any information on line to guide me.
Thank you. I apologize for being so slow to respond. I have consistently installed printer updates as they have come available. I just reset the printing system as you suggested, l but the problem remains. I have, however, discovered something interesting: This problem seems to occur only with a particular document–a .pdf scan of an article done on a library public-use scanner. I have no problem printing .pdf documents downloaded from the web or that I created myself. I shall be returning to the library this week and will try another scan with my iPhone app. I'll keep you posted.
In the end I reset the printer and scanned the troublesome document on another machine. As noted earlier, I was having problems only with that document; other .pdfs printed without problem. After the reset and the new scan, the document printed, albeit very slowly. I have occasionally experienced that in the past with others, so I was not concerned.

Have you checked your available memory as it states?
Have you talked to HP about this. They have a technical department that I have always found helpful ... and they are sometimes a little slow in updating their drivers.
