iPhone changing time zone settings

Ok.... hey, HEY

This is serious, I almost missed my flight. I keep my iPhone (8) in my home time zone. Not set to automatic, but twice now it has just decided to change to the time where I am traveling.

I set and modify my alarms to fit and this messes it up. My sleep app on my Apple Watch provides more useful data when it is linked to my home time zone if I am not planning on switching it to the local time zone but for work my stays are short so I normally will keep on my home body clock.

Changing time zone Hi As Im working as a sailor I often travel between time zones. But we are not always changing the time to fit the actual location. i.e. when sailing in the english channel we have UK time on one sinde and Euro time on the other. On my phone and Ipad I normally can change the time zone manually but for some reason has it been set to automatic and the button is disabled. Problem is that I use my Garmin watch as alarm clock this is getting the time signal from my phone. So passing the before mentioned english channel I will jump from one time zone to another without beeing able to do anything. I can make my watch adjust time manually but it is very strange that Im not able to do the same on my phone og ipad. Hope you can help

why didnt my iPhone auto-switch times when I came to Phoenix I live in Colorado and have my iPhone set to TimeZone Denver, but also have "Set Automatically" turned on in my iPhone --> General --> Date/time preferences. When I few down to Phoenix on Friday, my iPhone and watch (and my Mac) all switched times from Denver to Phoenix (one hour later now). But when we drove out of Phoenix to Wickenburg (60 miles to the North West), my phone and my watch both switched back to Denver time. Even though I was going further west. I ended up having to set my TimeZone to PHoenix and turning off automatic mode. I tried rebooting the phone to see if something got "stuck", but that didn't help. The clock reverted to Denver time immately after rebooting. Any thoughs as to why this would/could happen I've never seen this particular manifestation of the time zone messup before when I was traveling... Thanks!
