Sound on iPhone 6 not working

Hi recently i have been having an issue with my iPhone. When I try to play music without headphones I can not hear anything. the iphone keeps telling me that I have headphones plugged in when I do not. I have tried turning the phone off then on again and plugging then unplugging my headphones. Can anyone help?Apple support is most unhelpful due to the phone being slightly out of date I have never had this issue until today. Any help is appreciated.
