Apple TV acting funny since 10.2 update

Since the last update 10.2 , sometimes when I click on a specific app like APP store, it jumps up around and the cursor moves in the wrong direction, then freezes. I tried to restart. Sometimes the message pops up that says remote lost connection, then immediately pops up that it is reconnected. Sometimes the light on my apple tv disappears while apple tv is on and playing. I am hoping maybe these are all just update glitches and the next update will correct them. None of these things ever happened on my Apple TV before the last update. I don't really want to do a factory reset if I don't have to, as re-setting up all apps and settings takes forever. I have charged the remote as well. Anyone else have any of these issues?
