Can't Connect to Samsung Galaxy S6 Hotspot

I can't connect to my Samsung Galaxy S6 hotspot. I have a brand new Macbook Pro running High Sierra. Both devices indicate they're connected but there is no internet connection. When I connect to my phone's hotspot no popup for the password appears. I suspect that might be the problem but I can't figure out where the popup window is or how to make it appear.

To review, my Macbook Pro indicates that it is connected to my S6 hotspot in the wifi drop down at the top of my screen and my phone indicates my Macbook Pro is connected to my phone but I can't connect to the internet on my computer. It's a dead end and driving me crazy. Has anyone experienced this?

PS. I'm a T-Mobile user and checked my account and hotspot is enabled.
