Question: low sight haptic

You may be working this already, if not may I make a suggestion? There are a large portion of people on this planet with limited or no eye-sight. The Apple watch (& others) have haptic notification. What if a set of glasses (googles) where developed that fit rather firmly (not to firmly) with obstacle avoidance sensors & haptic notification? The sensors would have a limited field of view for better positional accuracy. Even an A.I. can be interfaced to let the wearer know (through haptics) what type object it is. The unit can have a wireless interface to a i-device, Android, Windows, or Linux computer for update and/or specific object detection.
