does any know if there are any upgrades available to an intel processor.?
would love to keep my G5 going for a while longer.
If I did find one would it still run my old Mac software? ie, IPhoto, i DVD etc. ??
i hate what they have taken from us that made being a Mac person so unpowere. iE iLife & the .Mac cloud service.

Snow Leopard can run PowerPC apps on Intel Macs. You could look for a used Mac Pro, if you like the silver towers, and still run many of your older apps, as well as newer OS versions. The problem with the older OS versions would be online security. You’d be best off not accessing the internet with the older OS versions.
2006 Mac Pros are dirt cheap these days, much cheaper than any sort of Intel upgrade could ever be, if such a thing existed. But they max out as OS 10.7, although there are ways around that.
