I updated to High Sierra and now Safari doesn't load any web page.

Reading other threads, I installed EtreCheck and ran a test. If anyone can help, I'll be forever thankful. Chrome still works, but honestly I don't quite like it.

Go step by step and test.



1. Click  in the menu bar and click Force Quit.

Confirm it.

Launch Safari holding the shift key down.


2. If Safari doesn‘t load a page or webpage items are missing

Do a backup, preferable 2 separate ones on 2 drives. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart). Run Disk Utility and select First Aid. Run First Aid until you get no errors. Restart and test.
