Video and Audio Keep Drifting

I've been trying to sync audio with a video clip recorded at a different FPS than our usual cameras and it keeps going out of sync. One of the editors suggested I change the speed and I did and all it did was prolong the start of the drift. I'm very new to all this so I'm not sure if there is something simple I'm missing with the audio as well

What can I do?

What cameras/recorders did you use?

Most cameras record at 48kHz sampling rate. But most audio recorders can record in 44.1kHz and 48kHz.

So if you have one at 48kHz and one a 44.1kHz, they will always slowly drift.

If this is the case, there is software out there that will do it. One of the best is: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/repair-and-edit/rx/features/resample.html

I think the free software Audacity can do it too.
