sleep and reboot needs prompt

After talking with two advisors on apple chat they both were not well informed of the operating system or how to get accurate information. Very kind and patient people, though I wish were more accurate with their information.

two key commands:

command-option-eject

this key command puts the mac to sleep. It use to before the new 10.3.3 prompt if you want to put to sleep etc, but now just does it. I prefer to know what mac is about to do. although it seems faster, there is another key command very close that reboots the mac.

command-control-eject

This doesn't prompt either what it is about to do and just reboots your machine. 😕

Very frustrating. It use to be Apple thought about the end user's experience but I am seeing more and more lack of detail to creating a good computing experience.

anyone else notice this?

The older OS use to prompt when using key commands to put to sleep.

The power button doesn't prompt anything. In fact tapping it does nothing in 10.13.3 on the iMac in my attempt. thanks for the thought though.

the point was two fold. 1. keys are faster then mouse. 2. confirm it is what i want.the problem with #2 is that there are simular commands so a confirm is key. Using a mouse to do a quick job of something is annoying. It WAS there before but isn't anymore.
