The explanaition indicates that you can also push back soundfiles and their envelopes by doing a Paste Insert. But as I understand it, you first need to do a cut first.
So, let's say I want to insert 3 seconds of silence in a file on one track, and still keep all the envelopes in sync with their sounds further back in the time line.
Do I need to create a dummy sound, say, after everyting else on the time line, cut 3 seconds from it, then Pase Insert at the point I wish, and then delete the pasted dummy sound, in order to insert the silence, and push back everything without all the envelopes losing sync with their respective sounds?
SoundTrack is certainly not easy to understand in this area, and not very intuitive or well documented. If you have many tracks and envelopes, it's very easy to get lost when pasting and cutting.
