Administrator Slow; Guest Account Fast

My main (administrator) account on my iMac has become very slow. The guest account is fast.

The beachball occurs with Safari, Mail, iTunes, Photos, everything in the administrator account. Following is the information Linc Davis has requested of others with similar problems. If anyone can help me resolve this, I would greatly appreciate it. pastebin.com/LV6z7Tcv

Actually what worked was signing out of iCloud!!

I followed Kappy’s instructions from another thread and signing out of iCloud was next in the list.

Now everything works very fast again. No more rolling beachball of doom, and the Safari search box is again working.

Weird.

Since the issue is isolated to your Mac user account, try checking what apps and processes are set to automatically open upon log in. Go to System Preferences, then click on Users and Groups to do this.

In addition, Activity Monitor can be used to see what processes or apps are taking up large amounts of CPU or RAM, and to terminate any undesired processes/apps. Activity Monitor is found in /Applications/Utilities.

Hope this helps!

From researching other similar threads, this is what I have done already:

1) Reset PRAM (NVRAM)

2) Reset SMC

3) Started computer in Safe Mode, and then restarted

4) Repaired disk by booting from Recovery HD

5) Signed out of iCloud on iMac

So far, nothing has made a difference, except signing out of iCloud--the computer seems to be working faster right now. I'll update if the beach balling returns.
