Apple TV Parental Password Protcetion

I have three kids and I want to be able to password protect the Apple TV home screen. I'm not really interested in setting restrictions as we use Apple Tv as we want to watch movies and tv appropriate for adults and don't want to go through the process of undoing these restrictions everytime we want to see a movie. It does seem archaic that one cannot restrict or password protect individual apps rather than a broad brushstroke ratings system that from (Ipad) experience doesn't work as it restrict apps that the kids need (Chrome) while restricting games etc that they don't need.

I can't seem to find any way of password protecting Apple TV at the home page stage. BUT I can do this on my Mac Book Pro.

What's the deal Apple ???
