Is there a way to disable the play/pause key on a keyboard attached to an iPad?

I have an iPad Pro and a logitech case. Frequently my ipad starts playing music while the keyboard is closed. It happens while being carried and while stowed in my briefcase. If the volume is up, it can happen at inopportune times. If the volume is down, it runs the battery down. My wife has the same complaint, slightly older iPad Pro. If there is currently no setting for this, it would be a good consideration
