Computer sleeps and kills download.
(Mini and High Sierra 10.13.3, Firefox via WIFI) I am new to Apple and noticed that when the screen blanks downloads can be interrupted. To prevent this in Energy Saver I un-clicked "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" and clicked "Wake for network access". Still if I do not keep the window active downloads get interrupted (paused) and I lose the downloads. This is very annoying because I can lose hours of downloads and be forced to start over. I have not yet set "Turn display off after" to "Never" but that seems a bit extreme because the OS should keep downloading even if the screen is off. Can the OS really be that brain dead to kill downloads just because the monitor is resting?
Any suggestions are welcome.
