Thumbnail screenshot disappears

The thumbnail screenshot that used to show on the left bottom just disappeared, how to get it back?

I have iPhoneX w/ latest iOS (11.2.6)

As the article you attached above states, the thumbnail does appear until you swipe to the left to dismiss it.

Perhaps you're swiping to the left without realizing it.
