Google ‘Search history’ option missing on iPad

Hi,

In Safari on my iPad, when I open Google and start typing in the search bar, I always get the three most recent searches listed. In ‘Settings’ (on the bottom of the Google homepage) there is an option called ‘Search History’ on my iPhone, but for some reason that item in missing on my iPad (see screenshots).

I’m not signed in to Google and I’m running iOS 11 on both devices. The only way not to get the recent search history shown is switching to Private browsing mode. But there should be a solution for this problem also in normal browsing mode.

Thanks in advance!

Peter

Hello petelux,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with your iPad. Since this is working in Private browsing mode, it is possible there is an issue with the cookies.

Please try clearing the history and cookies as described in this help article: Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch

Then, restart your iPad: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
