iPad Pro has vertical lines on the screen

and some small horizontal lines at the bottom. All of a sudden while watching a show at home, the video screen has become almost unusable. About 20% of the screen has numerous vertical black lines. The lines do not change if you switch the screen to landscape mode. There are also flashing small lines at the bottom of the screen. The lines are there no matter what is on the screen. An app, the home page, even when it is being turned on and off. Tried a hard restart but no luck. Any suggestions? Had the iPad Pro about 1.5 years. It appears the video screen is fried.
