My iPad apparently has been locked by a third party. How do I correct this?

My iPad has been locked apparently by a third party on Safari. Asking me to call a certain number. That number appears not to be from Apple.

How do I fix this?

Close down Safari. Double click the home button to bring up the App Switcher, and swipe the Safari screenshot up and off the screen.

You can then go to Settings->Safari->Clear History and Website Data this will force close all open tabs, so they don't open again when you open Safari.

You may need to log in to certain websites again.
