When will there be a fix so I can use google mals through apple car play?

Apple Car Play will only allow Apple maps which is frustrating as I want to use google maps sometimes... does anyone know a way around as I don’t want to start using android if possible but am leaning that way if Apple consistently dictates what we can and can’t do with a product that isn’t cheap...
