Apple Music family not working

Upgraded my account to family plan, Ive sent and accepted the invite for the family member but when I click on Apple Music its just trying to do a free trial and I have clicked on the icon and there is no manage family membership option on the iPod (family member I am trying to add) but I have an option on the iPhone (my account that I have Apple Music).
