picture of a house not in dock

On my old computer I had a picture of the so called Home folder in my doc. It looks. like a little house. When I go to put it in my dock it just shows up as a folder. How to get the little house there instead??

CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select Folder instead of Stack. You need to put the icon on the right side of the Dock.
