The message is "you have not yet purchased any apps."
If I search for an app like Pilexmator which I purchased, It shows open as it is installed. I just downloaded the Kindle App on My Mac which I purchased long ago and it showed "Get".

That could mean it was purchased long ago but was not currently installed.
That I understand but still doesn't answer the question as to why the 10's, possibly hundreds of apps I have purchased over the years do not show up in my purchased list.
Have you tried signing out of the Mac App Store and then back in again?
