I have a new Mac book air. Today I went to up date apps it says I can’t because I didn’t purchase them . These apps come with the computer. Any help is appreciated

Open the App Store on your Mac and click your username and sign in. Check your purchases, and if needed “adopt” the Apple apps such as Numbers, Keynote, GarageBand, Pages.
