15" MacBook pro ports, ethernet

Buying a new 15" MacBook Pro, but need to connect a modem via ethernet (yes, I know, but I am out in the sticks and can only get a DSL line, no cable available). Also, old printer and external drive for Time Machine backups. These both take USB. Both are over 8 years old.

What is the best solution to connect 1 Ethernet and 2 USB devices. Looking for good connection and convenience.

Thanks.
