One would think that the problem with the camera that has existed for over two years would finally have a resolution with the cost of new iPhones. Why is the problem with the black screen still continuing?

It is the common issue of the camera app opening with only a black screen in the space of the screen where the picture should be. The circle on the screen used to take the picture is solidly white, and does not allow pictures to be taken. I’ve researched the issue, and many have to ‘reset settings’ or do a power reset. It is a joke when spending $800 for a phone that cannot be dependable enough to open a camera app.

No, really, it's not that common an issue. If you're having a problem like that, you should take your iPhone to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store and have it evaluated.
Idris is right. This is not a common issue. If it was, there would posts all the time. This is why I had to ask what you were referring to and I'm on the forum every day. You should take your phone to your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation.
What is the problem you're asking about? Are you saying that you're trying to take a picture with a completely black screen and are unable to?
I don't understand your question or what problem you are referring to?
Why has there not been a solution to the Camera app not allowing pictures to be taken with a black screen ?
