Preferences error in network preferences

On macOS High Sierra I have a problem with the network preferences.

When in normal mode, pretty much every thing I try to do gives me the error: Preferences Error, There was an error in Network preferences.

While in Safe Mode I can just edit everything as normal.

Already deleted the SystemConfiguration map too...

Any ideas?

System Preferences Can't Connect to internet System Preferences can't connect to interenet. This blocks me from adding google accounts and updating my mac. There is no other problem with the internet, just in the System Preferences. I think this is maybe because my mac is pretty old, and I cannot run a later OS than Catalina, and maybe this is what's causing the problem, but I'm not sure. Preferences error I’m trying to turn on my wifi but my MacBook won’t allow me to open up networks in settings at all. I can’t even log out of my iCloud because it requires wifi…I have zero clue how to fix this and have no idea what to try next considering I don’t have any internet access. Please help!

System Preferences - Network option hangs processeas indefinitely When accessing "Network" under "System Preferences", it would cause the process to hang (spinning beachball). After a number of seconds "System Preferences" would also hang. Both confirmed in the "Activity Monitor" to be not responding. See below. Other items under "System Preferences" seem to be okay. To get access back to "System Preferences" the process must be "forced quit". I am running macOS Sierra (Version 10.12.6) on a iMac 27-inch, Mid 2010 (iMac 11,3)
