Samsung SyncMaster 204B - how do I fix the blurry type?

I just got this monitor, and all of the type is a little blurry. How do I fix this? The highest resolution setting I have is for 1280 x 1024. A little confused.....

I have the mirror doors G4, and I have the Appearance "Font Smoothing style" set to Med. - best for Flat Panel.

Then in System Profiler - Hardware - PCI/AGP cards (for the display) it says:

ATY,Rage128Pro:

Type: display
Bus: AGP
Slot: SLOT-1
VRAM (Total): 16 MB
Vendor: ATI (0x1002)
Device ID: 0x5046
Revision ID: 0x0000
ROM Revision: 113-63001-108

Display:

Resolution: 1280 x 1024
Depth: 32-bit Color
Built-In: Yes
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes

Does this info help? still confused 😉

Hi

I'm not sure whether you've ever swapped the graphics card in your computer, but it could be the problem.

The MDD G4s originally shipped with an nVidia GeForce4 MX or Radeon 9000 Pro, with 32MB and 64MB of VRAM respectively, both capable of supporting resolutions of at least 1600 by 1200.

The Rage Pro in your computer was shipped in much earlier G4 models and I'm not sure it supports the resolution of the 204B.
