I assume that you are positive that it's not simply dulciate caopies of the song in the Playlist (some songs appear on multiple albums), or different versions of the same song (i.e. radio mix, dance mix, incredibly boring long mix, why did they bother mix) on a CD single?
If the iPod really is playing the same song more than once in a repeat cycle, try Resetting the iPod by turning competently off and then back on again so that it re-boots.
Thanks. I know for sure that there aren’t any multiples, so it isn’t that. I did try restarting and it didn’t work. :/
