Why is my iPhone SE slower than my old iPhone C

When I use apps that use WiFi my older model iPhone is faster.

Here is an example: on my old phone I could turn on my Philips hue lights instantly, with my new iPhone SE it’s a delay of 10-15sec for the same command?

Why is the SE so much slower?

Can I boost the phone so it operates as fast as my old iPhone C ?

Hopefully that 'secondary issue' you related here is something you may be

able to sort out by contacting Apple directly; seemed you may have gone

to an unofficial 'support' site where they gave you some un-apple advice.

{Your comment - and my reply from then - is gone; I reported post to Hosts

& hoped they'd look into this matter. ~ I thought you could've been victim of

non-Apple 'help' site; or perhaps given your AppleID password to phishers.}

Otherwise the inquiry first stated above appears to have a plausible answer.

There may be something with your wi-fi base station or source that is slower.

I've owned both 5C (recent to) SE iPhones, both with their latest supported iOS

with more than enough free capacities in their storage. And SE is generally fast.

..5C was fairly good & I didn't have issue with anything at all; but it's gone now..

First, you can't "boost" an iPhone, regardless of model.

Second, have you tried restarting and/or resetting your iPhone to see if this would help? Further what have you tried, so far, to resolve this yourself?

Finally, it may be possible that the phone is defective. It should perform significantly better than a 5c as it basically has the working components of an iPhone 6.

I been talking to apple support about this, when I had Problems to get Siri to talk to the home system.

Got some help with that, now it works but it’s much slower than on my old iPhone C.

When it comes to computers I’m a PC guy I find apple werry hard to understand even do I been a iPhone user for a long time.

Only thing I tried is asking for advice from support and that’s why I’m here.

🤔

Based on your concern about apps that use WiFi, I would say you just have a slow internet connection, but the issue doesn't exist on the old device. Hard to say where the issue is, but it could be an issue with a setting on the phone or maybe your device isn't registered with your router properly. I would say a reset of settings could help and try it out.

You can go into Settings->General->Accessibility and enable reduce motion and see if that helps anything as well
