Question: Printing issue

Hello,

I am new to the MacBook Pro High Sierra and am having difficulty printing from my HP Photosmart 6520.

When I try to print this is what the printer spits out.

%! PS-Adobe-3.0 %APL_DCS_Encoding: UTF8 %APLProducer: (Version 10.13.3 (Build 17D10

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

Answer:

That is the first line of Postscript output.

Your HP Photosmart 6520 can print many types of photos, but use HP PCL3 as its main page-description language, NOT the default Postscript.

You are not using the correct Drivers, or have made an error in setting up the Printer.

Thanks for the replies. I had to take pause and remember it was not plug n play.

I did download the current drivers and updated the printer. After some trial and error I finally got everything running smooth.
