Hi, how did you do Internet Recovery?

Over Ethernet or Wi-Fi? There is a known glitch in the installer, when EMBEDDEDOS on EFI partition (which is responsible for handling Touch Bar) sometimes doesn’t personalize properly when Recovovering over Wi-Fi, there for Internet Recovery over Ethernet is highly recommended.

Also if you do Internet Recovery over Ethernet for sure you will not get any “Critical Update” problems.
