OS 9

I have an iBook G4 running 10.4.11 and OS 9 classic.

I have the OS 9 menu bar icon, and when I click on it to expand I see a folder for Apple Menu Items, but is empty.

If I navigate to the System Folder to that same folder, it is filled with all of my application aliases.

Why is the folder showing empty in the menu bar?
