Question: Got Logic - safe to remove Garage Band?

Ever since I got my Mac I've always used Logic Pro X, and never Garage band. Is it safe to remove Garage Band? What I'm thinking of is for example that there is EXS24 instruments in Logic in a Garage Band subfolder. Will these also be removed?

What I'm asking is will Logic in any way be affected by me removing Garage Band?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

There is some overlap between GarageBand and Logic regarding the Sound Library. However, it is not worth hunting down those files. For example, there are some EXS instruments that are specific for GarageBand with a simplified user interface. The samples, however, are the same that the correlating Logic instrument are using. The actual .exs files are so small that I would just leave them because you don't gain much disk space.

If you really need space and are really sure that you never ever open the GarageBand app, then just delete the app and you got 1.3GB space back.

Hope that helps

Ok. Thanks for clarifying about the app. I have no problem removing it then. But how about the "/library/application support/garage band" folder? On my computer it is just over 13 GB big, and that's really more about the amount of space that I like to clean up.
