convert .mac-based photo albums

Long ago I made a number of photo albums on .mac. I managed to download the pages and photo files, but do not know how to modify them to work on another server. Is there a simple way to do this, or must I rewrite the albums and pages entirely?

What is a good web site construction tool for the Mac? I have my own server, just want to make html-based web pages and photo albums and upload them.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, 4 TBT3), macOS High Sierra (10.13.3)

I'm looking for something which builds the site on my local Mac, and then I upload to my own server.

Just do a search for iWeb alternate or iWeb replacement in this community and you'll find a number of potential candidates.

One that many have migrated to is EverWeb. It has a very iWeb-like user interface and drag and drop capability like iWeb. It has a demo version that you can use to evaluate it's usefulness to you.

I migrated to Flux which allows direct injection of HTML into the page code. It does have a much steeper learning curve than EverWeb and some of the others.

You mean the HomePage webpages.

Those were the days. I remember the Yellow Schoolbus pages.

You may have downloaded the files, but to make them work on your server the pages need the JavaScript, CSS and theme files that were on Apple servers outside HomePage.

Here's a photoalbum I recreated in 2011 :

And this is what you can do when you type the code yourself :

Hi. Thanks for your reply.

1. If I want to make my dotmac files work, where can I get the javascript, etc., and where do I place it relative to my own files? Is there a way to automatically update the file references within the html?

2. The second example is very nice. Was it done with some tool? If so, what is that tool? Otherwise, did you write all the code by hand? I know html and javascript, but writing it all out without some sort of templates is tedious to say the least.
