Voicemail Playback Is So Slow

Hi, I've gotten quite frustrated with Visual Voicemail on my iPhone X. Every time I receive a new voicemail, it takes my phone 2-3 minutes to transcribe it and then even after that is completed, it has so many bugs on just playing the dang voicemail. It'll keep closing the transcription or go to a different voicemail or skip intermittently when the voicemail is actually playing. I'm pretty sure I had this same issue on my iPhone 7 Plus before I upgraded but why is the voicemail system so bad on iPhones? I don't remember them being this terrible and buggy. With a system so powerful and capable as the iPhone X, I don't expect my visual voicemail to have so many issues.

If I could turn off transcriptions entirely just to speed up the process I totally would. I rather hear the actual voicemail besides hoping it was transcribed correctly.
