Removing an iCloud id

Quite some time back I had an iCloud I’d which I then changed to my hotmail one. All has been well but now in my settings I’m been promoted to sign in again using iCloud id. I don’t have the password has changed to the hotmail account and have tried to remove this from my Apple account. Does anyone know how to remove it from personal settings please

gmail vs. googlemail Just discovered that I actually have two Apple IDs: with gmail.com and another one with googlemail.com - must have created it accidentally when setting up my devices. I assume that unlike Gmail, Apple does not treat them as one account. It is confusing and I only need one Apple ID. Can I cancel/delete the other one, including all personal data stored in it, iCloud storage etc? Thanks
