Touch ID Failing
The ‘Add Fingerprint‘ option is greyed out and whenever I tap use for iPhone unlock it says failed unable to use Touch ID setup

You might need to get a diagnostics ran on your device wither over the phone or at the Genius Bar. Have you had any third party repairs done to your phone? Usually a greyed out feature means that the component isn't functioning.
