Restoring emails from Time Machine

Hi

I have lost all my emails in two of my accounts - everything before January 2018.

I know I can restore them from Time Machine and how to do it.

I get as far as the 'restore' or 'cancel' part of TM. My question is, once I click on 'restore' will it give me an option after copying the emails to 'keep both'? It's a long time since I've actually had to use TM but I need the old emails but also the emails from January too so that I've got the lot.

Thanks

Hi, I have several email addresses and it's two of the POP ones that are causing the problems. The POP ones from old emails are fine as is one sub account from present ISP. No problem with IMAP ones (gmail). But have been trying for weeks now to get this resolved by my ISP as I think they might have done something. I've had numerous other glitches that turned out to be their fault and in putting one thing right they seem to have caused another 😟 I just thought the easiest thing would be to try and restore on TM. But since my earlier post I've had an email from my ISP to say there are thousands of emails on the server but they're not on mine. There are none before early January.
