My Photo Stream

Hi

iPad - iCloud Photo Library disabled - My Photo Stream enabled

macOS & iPhoto - iCloud Photo Library enabled - My Photo Stream enabled

When I take a picture with my iPad it does not show it on my macOS or iPhoto.

Why?

I don't even find a photo stream folder

You do not see My Photo Stream on your Mac, because iCloud Photo Library is enabled.

In that case the My Photo Stream album does not show. The photos from My Photo Stream are automatically imported into the library and will appear in the Moments and collections.

You do not need to enable My Photo Stream, if iCloud Photo Library is enabled on a device.

Which system is running on your Mac?

And what is the format of the photos? My Photo stream does not transfer Live Photos or videos.

I just noticed - you write iPhoto and not Photos. iPhoto does not support iCloud Photo Library, only My Photo Stream.

My Photo Stream will only sync to one library.

Is My Photo stream enabled in both places - in "System preferences > iCloud > Photos > Options " and in "Photos > preferences > iCloud"?
